You might have seen from our Facebook page that our three yearlings are ready for adoption.  We have been working on their catching and leading skills, desensitisation for grooming and lifting their hooves for the farrier.  We have also been teaching them what personal space is. Given the difficult start these beautiful horses have had in life, they are very affectionate and enjoy human company.   All of them have great potential!

They are available for adoption now, but when they came to us, they were cute and hungry:

ABBY – Possibly Thoroughbred X (Bay)

Abby is a beautiful, finely built girl who has just begun basic training.  It is a pleasure to see her progress given her difficult start in life, coming to us as a product of the nanny-foal system at only 2 months of age.  She is a pretty bay filly who loves attention and will seek you out for it.  While she is still young, sweet and a little green, she responds well to time and patience, is learning quickly and has a  lovely sweet nature.

EBONY – Standardbred (Black)

Ebony, a lovely black  Standardbred filly, has a beautiful nature, loves attention and is very bright.   She can be led and she is getting better at picking her hooves up for the farrier. Ebony has great movement for a youngster and would make a great dressage horse when old enough.   Ebony has great potential. She will be 2 yrs old on 1st August 2022.

PHOENIX – Thoroughbred x Standardbred (Grey with black mane and tail)

Phoenix came to us as a little orphan colt foal and is now a stunningly handsome grey thoroughbred x standardbred who has been gelded and is looking for his forever home. He is 2 years old in August and has great conformation.. Phoenix is affectionate, very smart and eager to learn and retains that bright inquisitive nature young horses have. He is also an outgoing boy who can be mischievous!

Phoenix is good to lead and is happy to pick up his hooves for the farrier.  With the right home, he will have a very bright future.

This video shows the yearlings at play on a muddy day!
